    About Aeropro

    In 2001, Susan Fournier, an aviation maintenance specialist with an extensive background spanning three decades in aviation, founded AeroPro, Inc. Susan has spent the last ten years employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Principal Maintenance Inspector and an Airworthiness Safety Program Manager in the Seattle, Washington and Portland, Maine FSDO’s. 

    In those years Susan:

    • Managed the Portland, Maine Airworthiness Safety Program;
    • Conducted countless seminars for the aviation maintenance and operations communities ranging from FAA Regulatory Compliance to Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance;
    • Managed a wide variety of FAA certificate holders;
    • Conducted several accident/incident investigations to assist NTSB in determining root cause;
    • Conducted several enforcement actions as an FAA Principal Maintenance Inspector;
    • Was a Certification Project Manager for several original repair station and air carrier certifications;
    • Conducted aircraft conformity inspections
    • Conducted regulatory audits of repair stations, air carriers, and airman;
    • Managed the FAA Designee program;
    • Successfully published a maintenance newsletter for the FAA for six years;
    • Volunteered her time in the Portland FSDO to develop airworthiness  and training standards.
    • As an active DART/F Susan created the Aviation Designee Association and is Managing Director.

    Susan remains active in conducting seminars as an FAA Aviation Safety Counselor.

    Achievements:

    • 1998 FAA  National Recipient; “Field Inspector of the Year – Maintenance.”
    • 1999 FAA New England Region Recipient; “Excellence in Public Awareness.”
